a crow has died by electrocution in the transformer near our house. 40,50 crows cry around it for one hour and gone. Next day three young crows visit and go around and cry for ten minutes. (o.k. what is the english word for young crow. answers.com says chicks is it so?) Next day also the same three crows come and cry. Then for five days no visit. Then they come on tenth day, eleventh day, twelth day and cry. Then a silent of four days. On sixteenth day again all the 40 to 50 crows come and make a hue and cry. As the crow has died on July 1 it is easy for me to calculate the dates (thithi in sanscrit)(thethi in Tamil). Then a spell of silent. What is the wonderful thing here is on 45th day on August 14 again all that 40,50 crows come and make a pandemonium. I am doubting whether they are also having the milk function (2nd day) bone ash function (third day) relatives funeral, santhi (making peace), anantha homam (prayer for bliss) punyaham ( purifing ceremony) aupasanam (daily rituals) sodasam ( 16th day) sabindikaranam (12th day function) thanam (service) sothakumbam ( 27th & 41st days) karumathi (16th day). Today is no moon day (amavasai) and that three young crows alone come and cry. They may be her children. During ancient days when Rishis were doing meditations and other rituals in forest they might be following these type of crows activities. For that reason only they may fixed these dates for rituals and they might be saying that crows are our ancestors. You can also follow these activities and write in this column.

Om santhi : Om santhi : Om santhi :

Om; Let my mind be concentrated in my words; and my words
be concentrated in my mind. Let the soul be bright. As you are my
words and mind be as an axis to my teaching. Don't waste my
question. In my spiritual practice I will make the day and night
as one. I pray the world in its beauty and rhythm. I pray the
truth which is the basic of this world. That will save me.
That will save the teacher. I pray once again the same. Save me.
Save the teacher.

Let there be peace in the three world.

First Chapter first para:

Author of this upanishad is Mahithasa Aithareyar. Hence this name.
He prays the earth and gets this knowledge. This comes in Rukvetha
Aithareya Aranyagam Second chapter four five six paras.

One of the four major words “brahgnanam brahmam” is in this.

There is only one in the beginning(the soul). Nothing more than that. It
wishes to create the world. Then it creates the world. .......1.1.1

Those are “ambus, marisi, maram, aba”. Ambus is above the heaven.
Heaven is the basic for that. Marisi is having more sun light. It is
anthariksam. Maram is the place of death. Below that is aba.
(place of water). ..........1.1.2

Then soul things “these all are worlds, I will create the life in them.”
As the butter is taken away from the milk it creates the human being
from the basic five elements for which water is the origin. ........1.1.3

Then the soul is thinking further. By that thoughts the opening in
the mouth appears. from mouth the sound; from sound the fire.
Then appears the holes in the nostrils. from nostrils the breathing;
from breathing the air. Then comes the two holes for eyes. from
eyes sight; from sight the sun. The holes for ears come. from ears
hearing; from hearing the directions. Then comes the holes in the
skin. from holes hairs; from hairs trees and plants. Then the hole
for the hearts comes. from heart the mind; from the mind the moon.
Then the hole for anus. from anus the abanan. from abanan the
death. Then the hole for sex organ. from that the semen. from
semen the water. .........1.1.4

First chapter second para:

As created like this these energies (fire etc) fall in the ocean of
creation. The creator put all of them in hunger and thirst. They
ask Him where we can stay and eat our food please tell. .....1.2.1

He bring a cow to them. They are not satisfied. He bring a horse.
They are not satisfied. .....1.2.2.

He brings a man to them. “This is good. This human shape is
better for all good deeds.” “Enter your places as you wish” he tell....1.2.3

Agni (fire) becomes sound and enters mouth. Air becomes life and
enters nostrils. Sun becomes the sight and enters eyes. Directions
become hearing and enters ears. Moon become the mind and
enters the heart. Miruthyu (death) becomes abanan and enters
anus. Water become the semen and enters sex organ. .......1.2.4

Hunger and thirst ask give us a place. I will give place in all these
basic elements and you will have important role in them. He tell.
So whenever anything is given to these elements part of them will
go to hunger and thirst. .......1.2.5

First chapter third para:

These worlds and these lives are created like this. I will create
food for them, He thinks. .........1.3.1

He thinks the water. From water something comes out. That
is food. ........1.3.2

That food decides to hide itself. The creator tries to catch by
His mouth. But He cannot. If it is so one can satisfy himself
by simply speaking about that. .....1.3.3

Then He tries to catch it by his breathing. But He cannot. If it
is so one can satisfy himself by simply smelling that. ......1.3.4

He tries to catch it by His eyes. But He cannot. If it is so
one can satisfy himself by simply seeing it. .....1.3.5

He tries to catch it by His ears but He cannot. If it is so one
can satisfy himself by simply hearing about it. .....1.3.6

He tries to catch it by touching but He cannot. If it is so one can
satisfy himself by simply touching it.. .......1.3.7

He tries to catch by His mind. But He cannot. If it is so one can
satisfy himself by simply thinking about it. .........1.3.8

He tries to catch it by His sex organ but He cannot. If it is
so one can satisfy himself by simply excrete it from his body....1.3.9

He tries to catch it by (abanan) His mouth. It is caught. That
abana vayu (downward air current inside the body) is catching
the food. So food is the essential energy for the abanan. ....1.3.10

Without me how it will be He thinks. He plans to enter into it.
By sound, speaking; by air, breathing; by eyes, seeing; by ears,
hearing; by skin, touching; by mind, thinking; by abanan, eating;
by sex organs, excreting; are made means who am I? what is
my work? ......1.3.11

The creator then enters the body by piercing through the head.
Its name is vithruthi. It is the place of bliss. He is living in
three places. He is sleeping in three places. ........1.3.12

As it is broken into two it is “vithruthi”. The soul will go out
during death through this for Yogis. This is the open for the employer
(owner) to go out. Other openings are for employees (eyes ears etc.)

Fathers body, mothers body, and the body of self are the three
living places. Awakened, dream and sleep are the three sleeping
places. As the soul is in ignorance in these three places also
they are told as sleeping places.

After entered into this body he argues about the materialistic
things. How can he speak about other things? After getting
the wisdom he wonders that the brahmam is everywhere and
say I have found out that. ......1.3.13

As he has seen the God as “itham” (this, this body itself) he
is called as “ithanthran”. Ithanthran has become as Inthran.
It seems that Thevars are interested in hiding themselves......1.3.14

“The enlightened souls are becoming thevars in heaven.. Inthran
is the head of them.” it is the faith.

Second chapter:

In the beginning he (the soul) is in the shape of sperm in the
male. This sperm is having all the energies of all the parts
of the body. He produces himself inside the body. He gives
birth to himself when he leaves it to a woman. This is
the first birth. .......2.1

It settles inside the woman as if though it is the part of her.
it doesn't give any troubles to her. She nurtures the life
which is the soul of her husband. ..........2.2

She will also be taken care as she is caring about the soul
inside. She is carrying. He (the father) is taking care about his
son before and after his birth. He is only caring about himself.
This is to extent the worldly contact. Due to this ( births)
the link between the earlier and the future births are saved.
This is the second birth. ............2.3

As he is the soul of his own he represents his father for doing
rituals. The father's soul due to age after doing all his duties try
to begin his another journey. After some search he reaches
another womb. This is his third birth. .........2.4

Rishi tells: I know all my previous births when i am inside the
womb itself. Hundreds of iron forts binding me. But as the
eagle which breaks all the nets I have come out. When he
is inside the womb itself he tells this. ......2.5

In the ninth month after getting all the senses, organs for
wisdom and actions the soul thinks about his previous births.
He knows the blessings and the sins he has done. (karbo upanishad 3)

Not only Vamatheva but everybody is reaching this wisdom
during the ninth month as per this upanishad. But Vamathevar
remembers it even after coming out. But we forget. During
birth due to the touch of the air of Vishnu Maya the jeev forget
everything. (karbo upanishad 4)

Vishnu is the God of worldly things. He is followed in Bakthi
Marga (devotion).

Thus as he is a Gnani leaves his body and fulfill all his desires
and ambitions in the world of the soul and reach the eternal
life. .........2.6

Third Chapter:

By which one is seeing the objects, by which one is hearing
the sound, by which one is smelling the flavors, by which
one is speaking the sound, by which one is tasting the sweet
and bitter and which one is felt as the adma (soul) that “which”
is the soul (adma). What is the nature of that soul. .........3.1

Here what is called as heart and what is called as mind is only
that. Samsgnanam (feeling), Ajgnanam(ruling), Vignanam (Art)
Brahgnanam (feeling of existence), Methai (knowledge)
Thrusty (Seeing by mind), Thruthy (courage), Mathi ( memory)
Manisha ( stability), Juthy ( confusion), smurithy (remembering)
Sangalbam (ambition), krathu (determining), Ashu ( feeling of
living), Kamam (desire), Vasam ( attraction), all are only
various names of the feeling of existence. (the feeling of
that I am here now). ..........3.2

That is the Brahma, that is Indra, that is Brajabathy (Jupiter)
that is all other thevas. Earth, Air, Sky, Water, Fire, (the major
five basic elements), ordinary various living beings, sperms,
coming from eggs, coming from wombs, coming from sweating,
coming from seeds, horses, elephants, cows, birds, human beings
and all other living beings, movables, immovables, all are depending
upon the feeling of existence. They are established in Brahgnanam.
The entire world is running only in that brahgnanam. (the feeling
of that I am here). The world is establishing in that brahgnanam. so Brahgnanam Brahma.

Brahgnanam Brahma.

Brahgnanam Brahma (the feeling of existence is the God)
is one among the other four major words.
It is in Ruk Vetha.
Brahmaivahamasmi ( I am the God myself) (Aham Brahmasmi) is the another.
It is in Yajur vetha.
That thva masi ( that is this) is the third. That is what you
are searching as god. This is what you are feeling as God
inside you during meditation (fourth stage of consciousness).
It is in Sama vetha.
Ayamathma Brahma. (My soul is the God) is the fourth.
It is in Atharvana Vetha.

He (Vamathevar) by this brahgnanam leaves this world and
lives in the world of souls getting all his desires fulfilled
and reaches the eternal stage. Reaches the eternal stage. ....3.5

mantukya upanishad

mantukya upanishad

The reason for this name is not known clearly. The rishi (hermit) for this upanishad is Varuna (the god for rain) (Mantuka rishi means frog hermit).

“ithi mantuka roobi sthanthatharsha varuna: sruthim “

tells Harivamsam. Therefore some say that this is having the name mantukya upanishad.

Yogi's mind must jump like a frog and reach the fourth stage of consciousness (samathi). The other three stages are awakened, sleep and dreaming. As this upanishad is explaining the jumping of the mind hence this name some explains.

For liberation this upanishad alone is enough says Mukthiko upanishad. hence even though it is very small this is considered as very important.

Om devines ! We only hear good ones ! Oh devoted! we only see good ones. With healthy senses and strong bodies let us pray and get the longevity of divine ones. let the Inthra (god of the east) do good to us. Let the all knowing sun do good. Let the Karuda (the eagle god) which cannot be stopped in his speed do good. Let the Bruhasbathi (jupiter) do good.

Let there be peace in the three world.

All these are only omm. That means the past, the present and the future are only omm. Which is beyond the three periods is also omm. ............1

All these are only omm. This soul is only Brahmam. And that soul is having four parts. ..........2

The first part is the physical body. He is having seven parts. The heaven (head), the sun and the moon (eyes), the directions (ears) , the air (the breathing), the Vethas (the speaking),the sky (the heart), the earth (the foot). Nineteen faces. ( senses of wisdom five, senses of the physical body five, the life force five, inward actions four ) Outside consciousness and awakened stage. ............3

The second part is astral. Enjoying in solitude. Seven parts. Nineteen faces. Inward consciousness. And in dreams. ......4

The third part is soul. The mind is the only face. Enjoying the bliss. Single. Consciousness is the only shape. And in the fourth stage of consciousness. As the sleeping one is having no desires and if there is no dreams that is the Susupthi (fourth stage.) ............5

He is the god who is ruling the entire world. He knows everything. He is inside every living beings and conducts. He is the birth place of all. The reason for all appearances and destructions of the existence. ...........6

The fourth part has no inner consciousness or outer consciousness. Not in the middle of these two. Not even having the feeling of existence. Not physical and astral. Cannot be visible. Cannot be explained. Cannot be understood. Has no identity. Cannot be thought. Cannot be indexed. By having the knowledge that all souls are same one can realize that. .....7

Even though this subject is not countable as fourth as it is different from the other three (awakened, sleep and dream) stages it is called as fourth. As a coil, a stick and a cut in the earth are visible as a snake in the lesser light but they are different from the other three the soul is different from the other three stages.

If this soul is represented in one alphabet it is omm. If it is in syllables it is the four stage. a,u,m are the parts. as “a” (spell like the “a” in “adjust”) can reach everything it represents awakened stage. One who knows like this will reach everything, fulfill all his desires, will become chief of all. .........8&9

The second syllable “u” (spell like the “u” in “use”) as it is high and double (sound) it represents dream stage. One who knows like this will improve his wisdom level. He will have a balanced mind in joy and sorrow. There will be no grandchildren without wisdom in his family. ........10

As it shows the measurement and hide in itself the third syllable “m” ( sounds like “im”) represents sleep. One who knows this will measure the entire world and will hide everything inside. .........11

There is no duality. It is Shiva Himself. The entire universe immerses in it. It cannot be explained. That is the fourth stage. That is the soul. That is the omm. One who realizes this will become the soul itself. ......12

Thus the mantukya upanishad ends.

gowdapatha karikai

Gowdapathar the teacher to his holiness Adi Sankara has written these notes. This has four chapters. Sankaracharya has written explanations to this.

One of the four major words

“ayamathma brahma” (i am myself is god)

is coming in this upanishad.

first chapter:

Viswan is having the outside (worldly) consciousness. Thyjajan is having the inward consciousness. Brangjan is not having these two. Only one is called as these three. ....1.1

He is in right eye as Viswan, in mind as Thyjajan, in heart (ie:in soul level) as Brangjan. Like that he is in three shapes in the body. ......1.2

Viswan is always enjoying the physical pleasures. Thyjajan is always enjoying the astral pleasures due to the remaining of previous births. Brangjan is enjoying the supreme bliss. Thus the enjoyment is three type. .....1.3

One who knows the object which is enjoyed and the subject which is enjoying will not be affected by that experience...1.5

Some says that the creation is due to the desire of the God and some says it is due to the time which is creating them...1.8

Some think that it is due to the entertainment of God and some other think it is a game of God. But it is the nature of God. No other reasons. Saturated one will not have desires.... ........1.9

Liberated from all pain and sorrows is Thurian(fourth stage), king, ruler, omnipotent, no dualism, bright, omnipresent. ......1.10

Viswan and Thyjajan are bounded by action and reason. Brangjan is tied by reason. These two will not bind Thurian.....1.11

Brangjan will not know perfectly himself, other than himself, truth or the lie. But Thurian is always knowing everything.............1.12

Brangjan and Thurian are equal in not seeing the duality. But Brangjan is in ignorance. But Thurian is not like that..1.13

Viswan and Thyjajan are seeing one thing in another and they are in ignorance and sleep. Brangjan is having the ignorant sleep but without dreams. At Thuriam stage the stable minded one will not have sleep or dream. ....1.14

One who identify one with another will have dreams. One who doesn't know the wisdom will be in ignorant sleep. When all these are destroyed the jeev (life) will enjoy the fourth stage of consciousness (thuriam). ....1.15

Due to the previous births vasanas (remaining of sin) the jeev is sleeping. When he awakes he will reach the non dual stage thuriam (he and God are one) and attains the no birth, no sleep,no dream stage. ........1.16

If the universe is there it will go, no doubt. This duality is only ignorance, non truth. Truly there is only advaitham (the stage of oneness) ......1.17

If differences are taught by the teacher it will disappear. They are only for understanding the subject by the student. After attaining the gnana (wisdom) duality will be disappear. ....1.18

One who identify the basic and common subject which is experiencing the three stages is respectable, honorable, noble, and a great saint. .....1.22

The “a” of the “aum” will bring one to the viswan. The “u” to thaijajan. And the “m” to Brangjan. But the “aum” (spell like om) will not bring you to anything. There is no subject, object, actions & reasons. .....1.23

The mind must be settled in om. The om has no fear. It is God himself. One who meditate upon om will not afraid for anything. ......1.25

The branavam (om) is physical, astral. It has no reason.

Has no duality. It is one. No outside. No action. indestructible. ...1.26

You must recognize it as the God in every living being. The saint one who realizes the om will not be in sorrow. ....1.28

One who realizes the branavam (om) which is beyond sounds, beyond measurements, uncontrollable, no duality will become a saint. Others are not. ..........1.29

vaithathyabraharanam

As the imaginations seen in dreams are inside the body in dreams (horse, cart etc even though are not inside the body)

As they are physically present, they are only imaginations and false, scholars told. (How can a cart and horse be inside the body?) .....2.1

In dreams we are seeing places at distances in short periods. But we are not going like that. After awake we are not in the places that comes in our dreams. ............2.2

Cart etc are false says literatures. The appearances that come in dream by micro nervous systems are false says scholars. .......2.3

As the objects are enjoyed by the senses both in dream and in awakened stage and as they are similar in both stages both (the dream and the awakened stages) are same says scholars. ........2.5

Means the existing worldly life itself is a dream......ashokha

Which is not in the beginning and which is not in the end will not be in the middle also. But even though they are same the objects in the awakened stage are appearing like real but it is not true ....2.6

You were not there 100 years before and you will not be here 100 years after but you are now here. Even though it appears that you are here permanent you and your objects are not permanent. They are changing permanently. Everything is changing permanently. Changing is the only permanent thing in this world. ...........ashokha

What things you are enjoying in awakened stage will not come in dream stage. Therefore they are not enjoyable permanently. Since they are having a beginning and an end they are false. .......2.7

If the objects in these two stages are false then who is the subject and who is the creator. .......2.11

The omnipotent soul creates himself by his own ignorance and he identifies the differences in the creation by himself. .....2.12

The all powerful soul (adma) when he is having an inward look he creates the imaginations and when he is having the outward look he creates the existing world. .......2.13

Dream and world are one.

Which are inside the mind during the creation time alone, and which are outside in the existing world, both are only imaginations. No specific reason is there for the outside world and the dream world. .......2.14

Which are inside without any physical appearances, and which are physically available in the outside world all are only imaginations. The differences are only due to senses. ........2.15

Adma (soul) first creates Jeev (life). Then he creates all the other things which are inside and outside. Desires according to knowledge and the knowledge according to desire are coming one by one and make all imaginations. .........2.16

The Sanskrit word for soul is Adma. And for life is Jeev. I here use the original words of Sanskrit so that readers can compare them with Adam and Eve of the Bible. Refer muntaka upanishad chapter third para one. Refer Deivathin Kural (devine voice) by HH Sankaracharya of Kanchi mutt.

In darkness one will misunderstood the rope as snake or a cutting in the ground. It is only an imagination. Similarly the soul misunderstood the world. .......2.17

But when the light comes one can confirm what that is (rope or snake) and the imagination disappears. Similarly when one finds out that he is only the Adma (soul), when the wisdom comes all the differences will go. ...........2.18

Adma (soul)is seen as various objects by life (jeev) and other senses. But this ignorance is only due to soul itself which is omnipotent. Due to his own ignorance he hide himself. ..........2.19

The world comes because of life said by some who know the life, because of five basic elements said by some who know the elements, because of actions said by some who know the actions, because of philosophies said by some who know the philosophies. .......2.20

Six blinds have once visited a zoo and try to know an elephant. It is like a pillar says the man who touches the leg, it is like a tree says one who touches the trunk, it is like a rope says one who touches the tail, it is like a banana leaf says one who touches the ear, it is like a stick says one who touches the tusk, it is like a wall says one who touches the stomach. Similarly the world is seen by everybody according to their level. ...ashokha

Philosophies are twenty five some said, twenty six some said, thirty one some said and so many some other said. but what the teacher teaches will be received by the student. That will become the soul of him and saves him. That is the only philosophy available will be the idea establishes in him. ...2.26&29

How the dream and imagination are seen and how the city of Gandharva

(the city Kandahar may once an admirable city with full of entertainments, may be like the Paris now) is seen similarly this world is seen by philosophers. ....2.31

There is no bralayam (dooms day, tsunami like that). There is no production. There is no man with bindings, (sathahan)no man with spiritual practices, (mumumsu) no man with final stage attained, no man who has been liberated, will be the final truth. .........2.32

One who has no attachment, fear, anger and one who has understood the philosophies are the sages who are seeing the soul as nirvihalbam ( no differences), (dwaitham) no duality, (athvaitham) all are one..2.35

You cannot see English equivalents for so many Sanskrit words. And even in other languages of India itself you cannot see them (except Hindi). For example bralayam, nirvihalbam, dwaitham, athvaitham mumumsu etc. Sanskrit is so developed that other languages are only the derivatives of it. We cannot have an English word for the Japanese tsunami. So if the people are having an experience then only a word is coming for that to explain it. These people are so much experienced in spiritual and psychological world that they have created so many Sanskrit words that other people are not at all seen them. Like the alamari of Tamil has become the Almira of English. .....ashokha

Therefore you must understand this and keep your mind in advaitham (no duality, all are one etc ). You must reach advaitha stage and live as jadan (without attachments, without emotions, without any practices, without imaginations, without any planning, without anything etc) (you cannot

say psychic here). ....2.36

You must not have any compulsion in praying the Gods or your ancestors

and you must keep the physical body as the house and the soul as the living place. You must live with whatever is coming as it is. He is an yathi. (you cannot say mendicant or beggar etc here)......2.37

Even now the practice is when you have the feeling that you can renounce the world immediately you will have to go to any river or any bond or sea take a bath put all your dresses in the water itself remove all your identifications (sacred thread, noble chain etc). Put them in the water. Coming out. Live as above. That is all. One must not approach his

parents or some teachers or a mutt and tell them that I am going to

renounce the world. Parents will weep. You will have to change your

mind. Teachers or mutt people will advice live the worldly life up to

sixty then come. But at sixty your grandson will change your mind.

So if you feel come out. Don't tell it to anybody.

A famous saying is

“solkiravan seyya mattan”

“one who tell will not do.” .......ashokha

“Satrenum erukku maraka vaykkume anal

kooramal sanyasam kol”

“If something is wrong with your wife

renounce the world without telling” .........avvayar

You will have to see the adhma thathva (philosophy of the soul) inside and outside also. You will have to see that only. Be in eternal bliss. You must be the philosophy itself and never comes down from that level....2.38

advaithabraharanam

Now I am explaining you which has no origin, which spreads everywhere,

which has no faults. The things that are existing everywhere is also

not there, I will explain that also. .......3.2

God has been compared to the cosmic sky. The bodies are like vessels.

The life inside is like the air inside them. Through out the sky also

the air is there. This is the correct logic to understand...........3.3

When the vessels are broken the air inside them will merge with the

air in the big sky. Similarly when the body perishes the life inside will

merge with the God in the cosmic sky. .....3.4

There is no difference between adma and air in all bodies in death, birth, going, coming and in existing. .........3.9

The jeev (life) inside the body which is depending on food as mentioned in

Thaithreya upanishad is only the God. This is same as the sky. ......3.11

In mathubrahmanam (elixir of nectar) the God has been described in two

formations. One is the big sky around the world and the other is the

small sky inside the body. .........3.12

The technique of learning about God and merging with Him is like the

nectar. It will give only the pleasure like the nectar.

The Advaitha which is teaching the identity of God and the soul is the

best. Differentiate them will be kept aside. That is acceptable to

logic also. ...........3.13

The creation has been taught with the examples of sand, iron, spark etc.

But it is only to bring down the soul to our mind level to understand.

Actually there is no difference. .......3.15

The Dvaithees (who are teaching duality) are stubborn in establishing

their policies. But they are having difference of opinion between them.

But advaitha is not refusing them. ..........3.17

The dvee of Sanskrit becomes two in English

The Advaitha is the eternal truth due to its reasoning. Dvatham is

explaining the practical applications. They are having the faith of

duality in both. But advaitham is not having any difference of

opinion. .......3.18

The soul which has no duality is appearing as two due to ignorance.

Actually there is no difference. If there is any difference the

nonperishable will already perish. ........3.19

This soul is not many. It is only due to God it appears like that.

Due to ignorance the soul which has no birth born as many..........3.24

As you cannot explain the soul with any physical objects it is explained

as that is not this, this is not this like that. (reductio ad absurdum)

By that method the Brahmam will only finally come as answer......3.26

The mind is split into two during dream as the subject and the object.

Since the rider is also from the mind and the horse is also from the

same mind. In awakened stage also it splits into two as subject

who enjoys and the object which is enjoyed. .......3.29

The single mind is visible as two in the dream. Similarly the single

mind is visible as two in awakened stage also. .........3.30

The dual world which is visible to the mind is not there when there

is no mind. ......3.31

When the knowledge is awakened the mind will be settled in the idea

“the soul is the only truth”. When there is no mind as the objects are

not there, the mind will also be not there. .........3.32

The saithanyam which is not having imagination and births is same

as brahmam. Brahmam is the only thing which will have to be learn.

which has no births, which is permanent. Brahmam can be

learned only by brahmam. ........3.33

The mind which is completely controlled and which is not having any

ambitions must be analyzed. This is different from susupthi (sleep).

More than that. ..........3.34

In sleep there is no mind. But in controlled mind the mind is there

existing some where. That is the fearless stage. Spread everywhere

in wisdom. ..........3.35

You cannot appreciate the stage in which there is no birth, no sleep,

no dream, no names and identifications, self illumined, knows

everything as it is without any efforts. ...........3.36

It has no speech, beyond thinking, calm, self illumined, known only

by samathi (fourth stage of consciousness), action less, fearless......3.37

This is a yoga of detachment. Cannot be reached by ordinary yogis.

The yogi who is afraid of this yoga (which is having no fears) will

withdraw from this. ...........3.39

When one is doing meditation at certain stage one blankness will

come. You are having a feeling of “virrrrrrrrrrrr” in your body. If you

afraid that something wrong has happened to you, you will immediately

come down to the normal stage. Avoid this fear. Enjoy that vibration.

Just observe that vibration so that it will continue for some more

time. Establish it. Similarly during deep sleep in the early morning if

you awakened all on a sudden this “virrrrrrrr” feeling will come. Without

fear enjoy it. It is the Alpha waves stage. Your penial gland is activated.

Understand. ...........ashokha

The mind which is disturbed by sex and desires must be controlled

by the technique of meditation. The sex and the sleep are the reasons

for destructions. ........3.42

All are only sorrow. Having this in the mind you will turn the mind away

from sex and other enjoyments. If you are having the feeling that

all are only Brahmam you cannot see the world with duality. ........3.43

The mind which is tuned in sleep (susupti) must be awakened. Pacify

your mind which is uncontrollable. Purify it if it becomes dirty. Practice

it without any interval and reach samathi (fourth stage of consciousness).

After reaching a higher level don't allow it to come down. .......3.44

Even you must not wish that bliss available in that samathi. In that

stage you must be detached by your wisdom. You must turn the mind

that even that bliss is also false. If the mind turns towards any worldly

matters by efforts turn it towards the soul. ..........3.45

When the mind is not in sleep, and not diverted towards any external

matters, when it is without any shake as a light in an air free place

and when it is not reflecting any outside things it becomes the

Brahmam. .............3.46

It will have the highest bliss, it will not have any development of thoughts,

it will be at the renounced stage, it will not be explained, it will not in any

creation, it will unite with the subject which is not creating anything,

it will know everything and it is the Brahmam. .........3.47

No life is created. there is no reason for that. From which nothing is

created that is the brahmam which is the highest truth. ........3.48

Alatha-Santhi-Praharanam

This yoga of detachment will give bliss to all the living beings. It has

no arguments. It has no enmity. I pray this teaching. ........4.2

No object will come out from itself or from outside. Whether it is

truth or false or between these two no object is coming out. ........4.22

There is no reason for the matters that are existing. Naturally no

usage. As there is no reason there is no creation. ........4.23

They are there as it is I think that will be the meaning.........ashokha

Mind will not touch the matters. Similarly it will not touch the

imagination. Because there is no object or subject other than

the mind. .........4.26

As everything is inside the body during dream all are false. How

it is possible for the objects be inside a closed place. .........4.33

In dream we are not going anywhere else. As there is no time limit

one cannot say that he is going to that place and see the objects.

The objects are not there when one is awakened. .......4.34

You cannot see the friends that you have seen in the dream. You cannot

see the objects that you have seen in the dream. ........4.35

In dream the body is false. As that body in the dream is having another

body of an awakened stage, the body you are seeing by the mind in

the awakened stage is also false as the body you have seen in

dream. .......4.36

As the matters are absorbed in dream as if in awakened stage, it is

told that dreams are made due to the memories of the awakened

stage. But the dream is true only to the person who is having it.

Similarly the awakened stage is only true to the person who is

seeing it. ( for others it is not there. so it is also false.) ............4.37

The birth, the change and the body that are coming to the soul is only

an illusion not true. Truly it has no birth, no change, no contact with

physical objects. It is only wisdom, peace, no dual. ........4.45

As a burning stick which is moving will produce straight and curved

objects in the dark, the movements of the time etc produces physical

and astral bodies. .........4.47

Soul has no birth, no sleep, no dreams, self illumined, no changes,

naturally supports all. .........4.81

People are arguing that soul is there, soul is not there, soul may be

there, soul must not be there like that. By that they are only

hiding the truth. .........4.83

Reaching the stage in which you can know all, becoming the no dual

stage, reaching the brahma stage which has no beginning, no end and

no middle then what one can desire to reach further? .....4.85

The jakratha avastha (awakened stage) is having the duality and

physical activities. The dream stage is having no physical activities

but is having abstract things. .........4.87

The sleeping stage is having no physical or abstract activities but beyond the world in existence. ........4.88

Knowing all these three things by wisdom and experience one will reach the stage of knowing everything at all places at all time. .......4.89

All living beings are naturally self realized persons.(nithya budhdha). One who realizes it will reach heaven. ....4.92

All living beings are naturally living in permanent peace, without any

creation, enlightened souls, having equanimity, no differences. The

soul has no birth, having equanimity, and pure. ....4.93

One who has fix his mind in the soul which has no birth, no difference,

he will become a great soul. World cannot reach them. .....4.95

We are understanding the stage as much as possible which cannot be

described, which is not visible, which can not be understood, which

cannot be explained by words, which has no birth, which is permanently

equal, which is pure. We try to know that as much as possible

and pray it.

om devines ! we only hear good ones – oh devoted! we only see good onesw. with healthy senses and strong bodies let us pray and get the longivity of divine ones. let the inthra (god of the east) do good to us. let the all knowing sun do good. let the karuda (the eagle god) which cannot be stopped in his speed do good. let the bruhasbathi (jupiter) do good.

let there be peace in the three world.

first question:

sukeshar son of barathvasar, sathyakamar son of sibi, kargeyar grandson of the sun, gowsalyar son of aswalar, parkavar from vitharba country, kabanthee son of kathyar. all these are in search of brahma gnana and interested in philosophy. they approach the teacher piple author with samith ( the dry brokened stems of banyan tree ) that he will clear all their doubts. ..........1.1

when one is going to see king, teacher, god and children he must not go empty handed. so when one is approaching a teacher he must go with some dry small stiks for the use of developing fire for rituals. the stiks must not be plugged out from the tree directly. they must fall in the ground in natural ways due to ageing. even plugging out a stem is considered as sin in those days.

another idea is like the stems which are try can catch fire quickly the student will be ignited quickly.

go and follow virginity and penance for one more year then ask me questions as you wish. if i know i will answer. says piple author. ...........1.2

kabanthi son of kathyar asks: o beloved teacher, how these living beings are coming to this world?............1.3

piple author replies: prajabathi (praja means living beings and pathi means creator) does penance for creating this world. he creats rayee(inactive things) and pranan (life) and thinks these two will create all the other living beings....1.4

all worldly things are prajapathi. life and body, growth and decay, day and night are pranan and rayee. they are combined like light and dark, left and right, active and inactive. by action of the life living beings are coming out, survives and dies.{see prachnoupanishad 2.5&6}

mruthyur kantharvas-thasya praja apsarasa:

death is a beautiful man of kandhagar (kantharvan) . people are beautiful ladies(apsaras) for him. he plays in the world as

a drama.

kamo kantharva: thasya thayob sarasa:

desire is a beautiful man. worries are his ladies.

(jayathi homa manthra thythreeyo upanishad)

life is sun. inactive is moon. the physical and abstract things are inactive. they are rayee. sun comes in east. he gives life to the things in the east immeadiately. like that south, west north, up, down and nook and corners are getting the brightness and all life forces are identified with him....1.5&6

he is the life of all. he is this. he takes all shapes and fire. this is told in ruk vetha also. omnipresent, full of light, knows everything, hosts everything, only one light, burns everything, comes with thousands of light beams, takes all the shapes of all the living beings. wisdomed one identify him as their own brahmam. ..............1.7&8

time is prajabathi. it has two major periods. thakshinayanam and uthirayanam. south and north angles. one who do the rituals of agnihoma (rituals with fire), praying the guests, saving the cows and birds will reach the chandralok. (moon)(southward travel) they rebirth in this world again and again. ...........1.9

one who do the penance, maintaining virginity, by interest and action follows the brahmam will reach the suryalok (sun) (northward travel). this is the place of all life where there is no fear or death. this is the best place. they will not return to this world. no rebirth. others cannot reach here. .....1.10

he has been described as such that he is having five legs (five seasons), twelve shapes (months), living in better place than the heaven itself, owner of water. and some describes him as the knowledge of all the knowledges, six axiles(seasons) and seven wheels and everything is sacrificed only to him. .....1.11

if month is the creator then krishnapaksham ( full moon day to no moon day) is inactive and suklapaksham (no moon day to full moon day) is the life. as knowledged one who knows this whenever they are doing the rituals (as they are seeing it as light and life) it can be considered as doing rituals in suklapaksha only. others who dont know this (as they are in darkness of ignorance) even if they do it on good days it can be considered only as otherwise. .............1.12

if day is the creator then day is life and night is inactive. one who joints ladies in day will destroy their life energy. and in night if they do it they dont loose their virginity. .........1.13

food is the creator. from that the energy comes. from that all the living beings come out. .........1.14

one who has the penance and virginity will reach the heaven. one who is fraud, lier, cheater will not reach it. ....1.16

second question:

parkavr of vitharba country ( his fore father is birugu) asks: how many gods are supporting the living beings in this world? how many of them are giving life to them? which one is the best one? ...............2.1

piple author replies as a small story:

the sky, the air, the fire, the water, and the earth are telling that they are supporting the speech, the mind, the eyes, the ears. by exposing their energy they are supporting the being. .......2.2

the life force says dont have confusions. i am separating myself into five parts and supporting this body. to show his importance he comes out of the body. as he comes out all the other five energies also leave the body. when the life force enters the body other five also enters. like when the mother bee comes out of the nest all other bees are also coming out and as she returns all bees are also returning five senses are following the main life force. ............2.3&4

this life force is burn as fire. this is sun. this is the cloud. this is the earth. this is air. this is the existing one and the non existing one. and the god himself is also this. .......2.5

when one dies there is no world according to him. if the subject is not there all the objects are useless eventhough they are there. one famous saying is “when the cat closes his eyes the entire world will become dark”. that is explained here. .............ashokha

like pokes in a wheel all are attached to you (the life force.) you are entering the womb as the creator. then born with your father and mother identity. then with the senses you are sitting in all bodies. you are bringing the final value of all the rituals to the gods. you are the food for the fore fathers. you are the base for all the senses and their energies. ..............2.7&8

oh brana! you are the indhra (god of the east). in energy you are the shiva.( god of energy) you are the saver. you are the sun. you are the king of lights. whenever you bring rain to this world people are happy that there will be sufficient food. as you come first nobody can do the rituals to you. you are the agni of the atharva vedha. you take all the benefits of all rituals. you are the result of the world. we are only here to give the final benefits of the rituals. you are the father of air. so you are the father of all the worlds....2.9to11

by which energy you make the sound, the ear, the eye, the mind put it there permanently. dont leave us. this and the energies of heaven are belonging only to you. save us as a mother. give us good wealth and better relations. ......2.12&13

third question:

then gowsalyar son of achvalar asks: where the life is starting? how it comes inside the body? how it establishes itself and stay here? how it comes out? how it occupies the entire world? how it controls the entire body? .........3.1

pipleauthor replies: you are asking a complicated question. as you are more inclined towards wisdom i am answering....3.2

this life is coming out from soul. how the body is having a shadow the life is the shadow of adma(soul). it spreads through out the soul. by mind it comes inside the body. ...3.3

like the king is appointing officers to various villages the main life force is engaging other forces in various parts of the body. ..........3.4

at lower parts of the body abanan is appointed. in eyes, ears, mouth and nose life is establishing himself. at stomach is samanan. it spreads the energy of the food to various parts. from there the seven fires comes out. ........3.5

the soul is in heart. there are 101 nadis. each nadi is branching to 100 small nadis. each small nadi is branching to 72000 micro nadis. vyanan goes through all these nadis....3.6

uthanan goes through one nadi among these nadis upward. he brings the soul to heaven or hell or to the human world according to the past life of individuals ....3.7

if this uthanan (upward nadi) is activated in the body the body will become light and floats in the sky. this sidhdhi is called lahima. there are eight sidhdhies totally. by severe yoga practice john paul olhaperri is doing this floating in front of white house and in front of president palace at sandiago, sili. refer newspapers. ..........ashokha

sun is the life outside. it activates the life in the eyes and rises. the lifeforce of the earth activates the abanan (downward energy) . samanan is inbetween sun and earth and activates samanan in the body. air is vyanan. the light is the uthanan. when it is reduced body dies. by the senses which are minimised in the mind after death the life force reaches another birth. ..........3.8&9

dont tension. eyes are using the light of the sun. the body is having the weight due to gravitational pull of the earth. we are getting the energy by eating the things that are in the earth. we are living by breathing air. they are explained in a poetic way. that is all. ..........ashokha

in which thought one is engaged during death with that thought he merges with the main soul. using uthanan (the upward energy) the life reaches the world which he wishes lost. .........3.10

one who knows the life force as it is will become eternal. the next stanza explains. ........3.11

he will become eternal by knowing the beginning of the life, entrance of it into the body, how it rules over the body, five different actions of the life force, and the final stage of the life during death. .....3.12

fourth question:

sowryayani from karga asks: which are sleeping in the being? which are awakened in him? which is seeing the dreams? which one is enjoying the pleasures? in which all are stablised? ..4.1

pipleauthor replies: as light rays merging inside the sun during sunset and as they come out during the rise all these senses are entered into the mind and reduced. the being will not hear, see, smell, taste, touch, speak, receive, enjoy, give and walk. it is told as sleeping. ..........4.2

in the body the fires of the breathing alone is awakened during sleep. abanan is karhabathya agni (the round shaped fire place at the back of the individual during agni rituals) vyanan is anvaharyabasanam (thakshinagni at the south side) pranan is ahavaneeya agni (the square shaped fire place)..4.3

inhaling is applying the pranan in abanan, exhaling is applying the abanan in pranan. these two breathing are controlled by the samanan. mind is the owner for these actions. the desired result is uthanan. as uthanan is making the human being to sleep which is like the heaven. .....4.4

this mind is enjoying his capacity in dreams. which are seen in awakened stage are seen again in dream. which are heard are again heard. which are enjoyed in various places and in various directions are again enjoyed. seen, unseen, heard, unheard, enjoyed, unenjoyed, existing and nonexisting all are enjoyed by him by establishing himself as all of them...4.5

when the mind is occupied by the light he cannot see the dreams. then the sleeping stage itself becomes bliss...........4.6

as birds are settled in the tree during night the mind and all its powers are settled in the soul. .........4.7

the earth and its elements, the fire and its elements, the water and its elements, the air and its elements, the sky and its elements, the eye and the visibles, the ear and the sound, the nose and the smells, the mouth and the tastes, the skin and the feeling, the mouth and the sound, the hand and the touching, the mind and the joy, leg and walking, mind and and thinking, the thought and the senses, the ego and its application, the mind and planning, the intelligence and the explanation all are only soul and nothing but that.....4.8.

he(the soul) is really seeing, touching, hearing, smelling, tasting, thinking, knowing, doing. the living subject inside the body is he. he establishes himself in the god.........4.9

he is not having the shadow of ignorance, not having the body, not having emotions, pure and permanent. one who realises this will reach it. he will know all and will become all. ......4.10

one who knows the soul which is existing in the knowledge (brain) with supreme powers and senses will know everything and will be living in everything. ......4.11

fifth question:

sathyakamar son of sibi asks: one who is chanting om will reach which world? ........5.1

which is named as omkar is the knowledge about the supersoul and the knowledge about the world. one who realises will reach any one of these two knowledges.....5.2

if he is chanting it for one syllabi he will enchanting his knowledge and reach the world in his next birth. the angels for the rukvetha will bring him to the human world. he will reach the higher stage by living a life of penence, virginity, and wisdom. ..........5.3

if he is chanting it for two syllabi he will unified with soma the angel for yajurvetha. he will reach the anthariksha world and brought to soma loga by yajur vetha angels. he will enjoy the benefits of soma loga and then come to the human world. .........5.4

if he is chanting it for three syllabi (which is om) he will merge with the sunlight. (he will not come to this world again) like a snake removes its outer skin he will remove all his sins. he will be brought to brahma loga by sama. he will see the god or the supersoul which is beyond all these souls which are inside every living being. .........5.5

if the three syllabies are chanted separately it will give only destroying result. if they are chanted together they will not be like that. if they are fixed in correct way in awakened,

dreaming and sleeping stages he will be stabilised and strong. ..........5.6

by ruk vetha one can reach the human world. by yajur vetha one will reach the innerworld. by samavetha one can reach the brahma loga. all these can be attained by chanting omm. he can also reach the heaven which is not at all having ageing, death and fear. ..........5.7

om is containing a, u, m. a is in awakened stage and physical body. u is in dream stage and astral body. m is in spiritual body and fourth stage of consciousness. eventhough these three are separately visible they are merging with the soul as all rivers are merging with the sea. one who find out that will not be moved by anything.

sixth question:

sukesar of barathvasar heritage asks: once the king of kosala hiranya naban asks me “do you know the human being with sixteen field. i dont know i have answered. now tell me who is that man? ...........6.1

pipleauthor answers: one who is having that sixteen field is now living in your body also. .........6.2

sukesar thinks: which going out when i am going out? which stabilises when i am stabilising inside? ...6.3

god has created the lifeforce. from that he creates attachment, sky, air, ether, water, earth, semen, mind and food. from food he creates energy, penance, mantras, actions, worlds and their names. .........6.4

like all the rivers are merging in the sea loosing all their individual names these sixteen field are merging with the individual loosing their individual identity. then he will become immortal and has no individual field. .....6.5

like spokes in a wheel all these fields are connected with the living being. knowing this death will not disturb you.....6.6

i have realised only like this. nothing more than this to know. they replied as you have made us to cross the ignorance you are our father. pray you. ..6.7&8

muntaka upanishad

muntakam means clean shavened head. this

upanishad is for the people who have sacrificed

the worldly life and searching for the eternal

wisdom. hence this name.

this symbolises determination. this is in atharvana

vetha(fourth).

ohm......the brahma who has created this world

and saving us is the first. he teaches this to his son satharvar. ...........1.1

atharvar teaches this to angirar angirar

teaches this to sathyavahar.

sathyavahar teaches this to angirashar(teacher

of english the derivative of sanskrit.)...1.2

once sownahar(who is living a comfortable

worldly life) asks angirashar:

by knowing which we can come to knowall. ............1.3.

angirashar replies: there are two knowledges.

one is abara which gives us worldly knowledge.

another is bara the knowledge which teaches

us the origin of all these knowledges, the supreme,

the knowledge of creating these sounds itself. ...... 1.4&5

(after all any one can get the knowledge of the world by

memorising all these words, but they dont know the real

knowledge of the brahmam(the super soul or the god)

that brahmam is not visible, cannot be hold, has no birth,

no sect,no eyes,no ears, no hands, no legs, omnipotent,

omnipresent, lives in everything,perpetuate, visible

only to those knowledged who research themselves

inside. ...........1.6

like the spider which produce the net by its own

secretion and then demolish it by itself and like

the plants which comes from the seeds themselves

and like the hair grow in bodies this world is coming

from that brahmam......1.7

by wisdom brahmam grows. from that all foods come.

from that the bodycomes. from that the mind,

the senses, and the world (which has the illusioned

appearance of permanent) come. from that the

desire and the actions and the results come....1.8

as brahmam is the reason for all these developments

and as it is in everything,as all energy comes out

from that brahmam these physical bodies of all lives,

all varieties of names, all worldly things

appears.. ............1.9

para 2

that truth (the brahmam, the super soul or the god)

is described in vedhas in various forms with so many

differences and anamolies according to the

knowledge level or the individual taste of

those gnanis(hermits). search that real truth.

follow it. that is the only way to know it. ............2.1

the rituals with fire

aredescribed. ......2.2to2.6

but all these rituals are very low as they have

done for materialistic benefits. even though

they are elaborative they are lower. their results

are not permanent. one who is doing these rituals

will again and again come to this world and

bonded. ............2.7

these people who are doing these rituals think

that they are highly knowledged,

powerful and suffer in this world like the blind

who are guided by another blind.

.........2.8

as they are immersed very much in ignorance

they imagined that they are highly knowledged.

due to deep desires for the worldly pleasures

they cannot come out of those

cledges. ............2.9

(eventhough the eagle flies in the sky very

high it's eyes are always in the dead animals in the earth.)

as they are immersed in desires, actions, their

results, they cannot come to know that there

is another thing higher than all these things. 2.10

but one who controls his senses, attained peace,

fully knowledged earns for his minimum existence,

doing penance, purifies his mind removing all desires,

will reach the brahma gnana( supreme knowledge.).....2.11

as the god cannot be reached by actions one must

leave all the worldly actions and surrender his

teacher totally. as the student has reached

the teacher properly with peace in mind, leaving

all the desires, actions behind, the teacher will

teach the real knowledge about the real god,

the real brahmam, the real

truth. ..........2.12&13

second chapter/first para.

this is the truth. like sparks from a single fire

the entire world is coming out from a single

brahmam. ..........1.1

he is bright, no physical body, permanent in and out,

giving no births, no life, no mind, pure, above all

sounds and its derivatives. .........1.2

life is coming from him. the mind, the senses,

the sky, the air, the fire, the water and all the

world are coming out from him. ........1.3

fire is his head, moon and sun are his eyes, directions

are his ears, holy books are his tongues, air is

his breath, world is his mind, earth comes out from

his legs. he is the soul of all the worldly things ......1.4

(as all languages are created only by man all prayers

of all sounds cannot help to reach god.

silence is the language of god.)

from him the fire(the root of sun)comes. from

fire the moon comes. from moon the rain (water)

comes. from water the plants, trees come. from

them the food comes. from food the energy for

the man comes. from the energy life comes.

so everything come from brahmam. .....1.5

all vedhas, all teachings, all developments,

all wealths, all time measurements, the world

sanctified by sun and moon come. ............1.6

from him all races, human beings, animals, birds,

life force, all seeds, penances, devotedness, truth,

virginity, rules come. ...........1.7

seven life forces, seven fires, seven major fuels,

seven rituals, seven worlds, all seas, all mountains,

all rivers, all plantains, all basic life force of living

beings come from him. ......1.8&9

one who understand this and do the penance with

the feeling that penance is his duty, brahmam is the

nector, and the brahmam is inside his heart will reach

the real stage of understanding the brahmamand will be

in bliss

permanantly.............1.10

second chapter second para

the brahmam is inside the heart and controls

the five senses. from him the movements of the

body, the running of the breathing and all are

coming. now come to know the truth and the

nontruth which is liked by all the living beings

and which is not reachable by the experiences

we get from the world and which has no

equivalents. .............2.1

which is permanantly self illuminated,

which is smaller than the atom itself. in

which the the entire world is settled, in which

all lifes are settled that is the brahmam.

that is the life force. that is the speech. that is

the mind. that is the truth. that is the elixir.

aim at that. ......2.2

from the upanishad take the greatest mantra

ohm, and chanting it with purity and devotion

and concentrate on it and tune it with your

whole mind. ........2.3

the branavam is (ohm) the bow. soul is the

arrow. brahmam is the aim. no distraction.

concentrate. .......2.4

to whom which the entire world and the mind

is tied must be known. left all other words.

this is the only way to reach the eternal

stage. ..........2.5

the brahmam (supersoul) is tied with the nadis

(nervous system ) that are connected with the

heart like the spokes connected with the axis

of a wheel. it appears on various forms.

meditate on that brahmam with the mantra ohm

directly . let success be yours in crossing the

darkness of ignorance. .......2.6

eat the mango fruits directly without doing

research about the mango fruit, its leaves, how

many trees are there like that.

..........ramakrishna paramahamsa

if you want to drink water in a pond with a lesser

amount of water you must drink it without steering

the pond and making the water muddy.

..........ramakrishna paramahamsa.

one who can know everything easily, one who can

understand deeply, one who has made this world

easily will come into your heart easily.......2.7

he is in the form of mind, he is conducting the body

and the life, he is in your knowledge, he is in your

body. he is the reason for bliss inside.

knowledged one will understand it by their

experience. ............2.8

when the brahmam has been seen the knot in

your heart will be loosened automatically,

doubts will be cleared themselves, all the sins

will be destroyed automatically. .....2.9

when the knowledge is brightened like gold

pure and omnipotent brahmam will appear. it is

pure and light of all the lights.. one who realises

that is the real realised. ..........2.10

there the sun will not have the brightness. moon

and stars will have no brightness. then how the

agni (fire) will have brightness. as he is self illumined

everything is getting the light only from him. ......2.11

undestructible that brahmam occupies everywhere

east west north and south. ..........2.12

third chapter first para.

there are two birds in a tree. they are

inseparable and equally powered. one is eating

the fruit in that tree and the other is looking at it

without eating the fruit. .........1.1

the bird that ate the fruit lost its control and

is in pain and sorrow. when it see the other bird

realises its fault and recovered from its

sorrow. ...........1.2

one bird is adma(soul)and the other bird is jeev

(life). here jeev eats the fruit and the adma is

looking at it without any attachment.

interesting thing in this small story is the

comparison of adam and eev story. eev eats

the fruit and adam is looking at her without

eating it.

adma is adam and jeev is eev. upanishads are

more than five thousand years old and bible

is two thousa nd years old. even after three

thousand years the base, the root of the story

is not changed much.

while it is piple tree in upanishad it is bible

in other.

when one can see the brahmam from its origin

the god which is having the brightness of gold he

will be away from all the sins and virtues and will

be merging with the god easily. ......1.3

one who realises that the super soul is the

part and parcel of every soul in every living

being will not arque with anybodyelse about

god and his entity as every soul is within him

and his soul is everywhere and he will not arque

that he is bigger than anybodyelse. he is playing

with the adma inside and will be in happy

permanantly.

he who left the worldly desires will see the total

brightness inside. it can be reached by keeping

virginity, profound wisdom and deep penance

and truth. ...........1.5

truth alone triump. it is the truth. the path for

the eternal bliss will only be filled truth by

which the sages (who left all their desires)

are following. ..........1.6

it is big. but it is smaller than the atom itself.

it is bright. it is dark. it is in the distance.

it is nearer. one who realises it will see it

inside the heart itself. .........1.7

(the brahma gnana (knowledge of the super

soul cannot be described by any words of any

language. that is why all these contradictory

words in a single stanza.)

you cannot see that by your eyes, you cannot speak

about that by your mouth, you cannot know it by your

senses. you cannot reach it by your penance and you

cannot reach it by your rituals and duties. one who

attain the clarity in wisdom can only see that brahmam

by his meditation. ............1.8

in which the life force is entered in five ways, in which

the senses, the mind, and all is entangled that soul is

very complicative. it cannot be found out by mind and

the knowledge. it will shine itself. .........1.9

after attaining the higher level one will fulfil all his

desires. he will get all the worldly benefits and all

the worldly pleasures automatically. ........1.1o

the interesting thing in this is that one will have

to control all his desires to merge with the supersoul

and after reaching that stage all his desires will be

fulfilled automatically. in the world we can see

people who have sacrificed all their comforts to

reach a higher level in spiritual world will become

a leader and then all the people follow them and

making them rich and comfort.

this can be explained like this:

all the peoples brain waves are in cama and delta

waves. but when you sleep or hearing a music or

when you are doing some prayers your brain waves

will be in beta freequency. and when you reached

the higher level it will be in alba waves. beta, cama,

delta frequency people will obey alba waves people.

third chapter, second para:

in which the entire world is settled and which is brighter

than the sun itself and pure will be known by the

self realised person. they will be desireless, courageous,

and they will escape from the birth and death cycle.....2.1

one who cannot overcome desires and stands in that

will have the rebirth to fulfill those desires. one who

who has all his desires fulfilled and has no desires

further will not come to this world for rebirth. ....2.2

by knowing all the vedhas or by having the logical

mind or by knowing all the worldly knowledge one

cannot reach the brahmam. when one prays only

the brahmam then he can reach it. the soul will

automatically upgrade him to reach that stage. .....2.3

one who is weak will not reach it. one who is

imagining that he has left all his desires and do

only routine ritituals will not reach it. .....2.4

one who has reached the higher level will be

satisfied with that union and remain in that bliss

permanently. they will be in peace and will renounce

everything. as they have controlled all senses

and as they are courageous they will unite

permanently with the brahmam when they leave

this body. ...........2.5

as they reach the strong mind by the experiences

they reached during the union with the brahmam

they will get purest mind easily. they remain in

bliss permanently. when they leave this world

they easily unite with the god. .....2.6

during death fifteen knowledges reach the origin

of the wisdom. senses reach their respective devathas.

{eyes to agni (fire), ears to vayu (air) like that.}

all actions and their results and the soul reach

the eternal god. ......2.7

like all the rivers lost their individual names and

disappeared in the sea the soul of the gnanis

reach the god. ......2.8

ignorants will not born in the family of that

great soul. he will crosses the worldly

sarrows. all the bindings will be removed and

he will be in nector. ......2.9

this knowledge must be given to one who

has completed all his duties and rituals

and one who is inclined to get the supreme

knowledge and one who is determined to

receive the knowledge. .......2.10

this secret has been taught to sownahar

by angirashar. one who is not following

the rituals must not learn that. pranams

om let the brahmam save both of us the teacher and the student. let us be nurtered. let us work together with full energy. let our rituals be bright. let us not have the enemity with each other.

first branch:

in the yaga viswajith the rishi vajasiravas sacrifice all his wealth. he has a son named nasikethash. .........1.1

he thinks: what is the use of sacrificing old cows which cannot give milk or calves. ......1.2&3

he asks his father three times : to whom you are going to sacrifice me. in anger his father tells: to yama (the lord of death) ..........1.4

i will go before all the other students go to yama what i can do to lord yama : he thinks ......1.5

he tells to his father: we will only do what our ancesters had done. human beings are born and die like grasses without any use. ........1.6

nasikethash goes to the world of yama. as yama is not there he waits for three days without food and water.

if a man who has done all his rituals with agni(fire) is waiting at a fools house for three days without food , all his desires, aims, ambitions, friendship of good people, good words, all rituals, human services, relatives, cows will be perished by the agni (fire). ......1.7&8

yama feels sorry. he tells: you have been waiting in front of my house for three days without food. i obey you. ask me three boons for that. ......1.9

oh yama let my father be without anger and let him not worrying about me. accept me with love after you left me. this is my first boon. ......1.10

your father will be free from worries about you. he will not be angry hereafter. he will sleep in the night peacefully. .....1.11

there is no fear in the heaven as you (yama) is not there. no old age. no hunger or thirst. you know the secret for agnihoma (fire rituals) to go there to heaven. you must teach that to me. this is my second boon. .....1.12&13

oh nasikethash i will now teach you the ritual of fire related to heaven. know it deeply. and he describes the method and rituals. .....1.14&15

let this ritual be in your name (nasikethash agni) one who is doing it will learn vedhas, mantras, and rules and will cross the birth and death cycle. he will understand the agni and keep him as his soul and be in peace. he will escape from ignorance, anger, hatred. ......1.16to 19

nasikethash asks: teach me the secret of life after death. some say that it is like this and some say that it is not. yama replies: dont ask me this question. even thavas didn't understand it..1.20&21

you youself is telling that even the thevas didn't understand it. therefore you alone can explain this. .....1.22

ask me children and grandchildren with fullest longivity, cows, elephants, horses and gold. have an empire. live long. ask me any boon. rule the entire world. fulfill all your desires. have ladies, chariots, musical instruments. but dont ask me about death. .....1.23to25

all these things are perishable. they destroy the moral courage, and all the senses. long life is nothing. at the end chariots, music and dances are the only remainings. man cannot be satisfied with material things. when we meet you all these things will be given to us, no doubt. it is not necessary to ask them separately. i am asking only that boon. .........1.24to27

what the yama given will be taken away by himself during death. he is getting back everything during death. what is the use of getting worldly things from himself.

evenafter finding the people who are not having the ageing and death, and evenafter finding out that worldly pleasures are perishable how can me ask those temporary things. oh yama give me only that knowledge which is considered as high by the human beings. .......1.28&29

second branch:

yama teaches:

there are two ways. chreyas and preyas. chreyas is the way

for eternal bliss. preyas is for worldly sensual pleasures.

one who follows chreyas will get the highest benefit and who

follows preyas will loose the purpose of his birth for which

he has come to this world. ........2.1

both the chreyas and the preyas will approach the human

being. ie: man will get the chance to learn both. the intelligent will

research on them and know the difference between them.

he leaves preyas and follows chreyas. the dull head will

follow the preyas to earn money and to save it. .......2.2

o nathikethash! you have left all the desires in which people are fall and die. you have not gone in that way. ..........2.3

the knowledge and the ignorance are away from each other. you have approached the knowledge. you have not disturbed by the desires. .........2.4

one who immersed in ignorance will think that they are the knowledged and that they are great and they confused themselves they guide others like a blind is guiding other blind. ......2.5

the matters related to heaven and wisdom will not be understood by the people who are having worldly desires and ignorant. the world is the heaven there is no another heaven he thinks and locked in death. ........2.6

some will not even heard about that. even heay will not understand that. they will not speak about that. they cannot reach that. even if a great master teaches it one who absorbs it will also be rare. ......2.7

(one in thousand heard about the brahmam. among them one in thousand tries to know about it. among them one in thousand realises it. ...........geetha 7.3

if a teacher with lesser qualities teaches it , the brahmam cannot be understood, because it will be analaised in various ways. if a teacher who has realized that teaches that there will be no misguided explanations. as that is smaller than the atom itself it cannot be explained by the logical arguement...........2.8

brahmam will have to be taught by the method of explaining like that is not this, this is not that etc. (reductio ad absurdam method.)

o, nasikethash! what you have obtained is not obtained by logical arquements. it is obtained by your deep wisdom and dedication. if a student like you is available to me i will be happy. ............2.9

saved wealth is perishable i know. the brahma gnana (knowledge) cannot be purchased by the worldly wealth. eventhough the rituals are done by perishable things we can get the brahma gnana which is permanent and i have become immortal. ..........2.10

you have reached by your determined mind the stage for the eternal bliss which is beyond all the desires, which is the shelter for all the life in the entire universe, which is the final result for all the actions, where the fearlessness ends finally, which is appreciated by all, which cannot be measured by anything, which is omnipresent, which is the life for the life itself. and by that you have crossed all the bindings of the world. ..........2.11

the brahmam cannot be visible. it pears everything and existing inside that. it is permanently inside the knowledge. it is there throughout the body. it is ancient. it is bright. by reaching that the strongminded will leave the bindings of sorrow and pleasure. .............2.12

hearing this, understanding this to correct root, separating the inner meaning by wisdom, one who reach the soul will be inpermanent bliss. the heaven is opened to you, nasikethash. ......2.13

nasikethash: please tell me the truth which is beyond the good and bad, beyond the action and its reason, beyond the existnigs and the future. ........2.14

which is appreciated by all the sayings, which is approached by all penance, for which the entire efforts are made, i will tell you it now. it is omm. ......2.15

the matter is that the mind is going on thinking without any stop without our own control even if we are trying it to stop. so the first step is select a small word and going on repeating it. since the omm has been related to a certain religion one can select any word for example jesus, allah, omm, mary, or any god's small name or words even like rose etc. but you will have to give interval between two words when you chanting it. for example if you take one second for the word you will have to spent five seconds for the intervel. so if you are in meditation for one hour means your mind is active for ten minutes and the mind is in silence for fifty minutes. that is the secret. in due course say six months your mind will be ready for dropping the mantra itself (word) and immersed in silence. if the practice continues alba waves will be produced by the brain and you will be in bliss in due course. maharishi mahesh yogi's transcendental meditation is based on this simple technique which is giving correct result in meditators. join in that course and get the benefits.

this word brahmam is the real brahmam. this is the supersoul. one who knows this mantra can get everything what he wishes. ...........2.16

this attachment is the best. this atachment is the highest. one who hold it will reach the heaven. ....2.17

one who found out this truth will have no birth or death. this soul is not arrived from anything. and anything is not come from this soul. it has no birth. it is permanent. it has no death. it proceeds everything. even when the body is perished it will not perish. .............2.18

eventhough the killer is thinking that he has killed something, eventhough the killed is thinking that he has been killed both are wrong. one cannot kill or be killed..........2.19

it is smaller the atom itself ( we can now say 'neutran'), it is bigger than the big. it is inside the life. one who leaves the desire will see that soul. he will be in bliss as all the senses are in clear knowledge and knows the value of the soul. .........2.20

motionless it crosses everything. it is in happiness and sorow. one can find it out by himself only. without a body it is inside the body. it is permanent even in temperory, it is big even in small, omnipresent. i myself is the soul must be the feeling of the knowledged. ...........2.21&22

by learning all the vedhas, by intelligence, by elobarate arquements, one canot reach the real stage. one who pray the soul alone can only reach that. then the soul will automatically shows its presence by itself. .....2.23

that means you must be in silence mentally, physically, soully and anything.

one who cannot leave bad habbits, one who cannot control the senses, one who cannot control the mind by determination will not get any result. ..........2.24

naturally if you are doing anything wrong your mind will not leave you alone cursing you inside. you cannot throw the mind outside. so you cannot get the peace.

who knows the brahmam which is like the food for the living being, and which is taking the yama himself as pickles ....2.25

the nature of life is analysed here. if the life is like the food for brahmam then the death which is coming then and there is only like pickles.

third branch:

there are two persons inside the cosmic area of the heart namely the adhma and the brahmam.(the soul and the super soul.) the most knowledged philosophers, the renowned people who do there rituals correctly, the people who do there agni homa three times are comparing them tothe sunlight and the shadow. ...............3.1

the soul and the supersoul are compared with the shadow and the light. if something is obstructing the light then there will be shadow. there is no fixed shape for the light. but the shadow has a fixed shape. but the light is the origin. reduced light is shadow. the light and the shadow are the same. like that the soul is the shadow of the supersoul. if the obstruction is removed both will unite.

the agni rituals is the bridge to all the rituals, and is the undestructable brahmam, and the courage and determination to the people who are willing to cross the life and death cycle. .........3.2

know that the body is charriot, the mind is the controlling whip, the knowledge is the driver, the life force is the traveller, all the senses are horses, the subjects which are enjoyed are the path, the life which is combined together with the body, the senses, the mind is the enjoyer....... .............3.3&4

like bad horses which are not obeying the driver the senses cannot be controlled by the people who are having uncontrollable mind and dull head without wisdom. one who is having the controlled mind and wisdom can control the senses like good horses. .........3.5&6

one who has no wisdom, uncontrolled mind and ugly with bad habbits will not reach the heaven and he will be entangled in the life and death cycle permanently. one who is having high wisdom, controlled mind and pure in his activities will reach the heaven from which there is no rebirth.............3.7&8

one who is using the wisdom as the driver and the controlled mind as the whip can cross the desert of the birth and death. that is the stage of union with god and that is the heaven. ..........3.9

the five bases (like light sound etc) are powerful than the senses. mind is more powerful than the bases. (because they cannot control the mind.) the knowledge is more powerful than the mind. the balanced mind is more powerful than the knowledge. ..........3.10

the soul is more powerful than the balanced mind. the supersoul is more powerful than the soul. there is nothing more than the supersoul. that is the final stage. that is the valuable stage. ..........3.11

that god (supersoul) is existing in everything. not visible to the senses. but visible to highly knowledged if applied the wisdom in correct way. .........3.12

the sound must be concentrate on the mind. the mind must be concentrate on bright knowledge. the knowledge must be reduced to soul. soul must be reduced to the god . ...........3.13

arise. awake. approach the great teachers to get the wisdom. the route is sharp like a knife's edge. it is hard to walk and cross. know the thing which is beyond sound, touch, sight, taste and smell, which has no changes, which is permanent, which has no end or beginning, which is greater than the wisdom, which is well balanced and escape from the grip of death. ........3.14&15

by hearing and telling this nasikethash prayer which is taught by yama one will become great in heaven. one who teach this knowledge to the people who are interested in god or tell this in the final ritual of death will get all the benefits. .........3.16

fourth branch:

god has created the senses with an external approach. so human beings are looking only the appearances. some highly wisdomed alone are having an intention to cross the life and death cycle and turn his mind towards inward and see the supersoul. ............4.1

the low knowledged is interested in the worldly pleasures and captured in death trap. the wisdomed one knows that the world is perishable and does'nt search them.......4.2

by which knowledge all these senses are utilised, the same knowledge is anlysing them and separate them from himself. which is making it? that is the athma (soul) ......4.3

by which one is experiencing the life in sleep and awakened stage, the knowledged one will realise it as the soul and never falls in sorrow. .......4.4

by the karma of previous births the life is here and in the previous and in the future. understanding that the soul is same in all these births one will not worry about saving himself. as he does'nt feel any difference there will be no sorrow or fear. that is the stage we are now going to research. .............4.5

the brahmam is in complete penance. from that the soul comes out before the water and the other four sources and exists in the heart of the living beings. one who finds out that in all the living things will only find out the truth. that is our research. .....4.6

which is in the form of every deities, which has been told as that it is coming from outside everything, which is inside the heart (not the physical but the abstract one), which is coming with every new coming living beings is the brahmam......4.7

it is like the fire which is inside the wood and like the new life which is inside a womb and like the fire which is carefully looked after i n rituals the brahmam is inside the heart. ..............4.8

from where the sun is coming out and to where he is setting out in the evening there all the living beings are depending on it. nobody can cross it. that is the thing we are going to research. .............4.9

what is inside here is also there. one who find out any difference will reach only the death from the death. it must be reached only by mind. there is no difference of opinion in it. one who find out any difference in this will reach only death from death. ............4.10&11

the adma is in the size of thumb finger in the heart. for all coming inside and going outside he is the reason. one who knows it will not worry about saving himself. ....4.12

he is like a light without any smoke. he is the reason for all that created in the past and for all that which are going to be created in the future. he is here today and he will be here tomorrow. ............4.13

the rain water which falls on the top of a mountain spereads on all sides. similarly one who find out differences in living systems will run after each and every faiths and confuses himself. like pure water poured in another pure water merges without any difference the wisdomed one will find out all the faiths as only one.....4.14&15

fifth branch:

for which there is no death, for which there is no perversions, for which the eleven doored body is only like a house and one who realises it will not fell in sorrow. he will escape from the death and birth bondage.

that is this .........5.1

“that is this” is a great word “maha vagya” among the other four maha vagyas. that is what you are searching outside in the world as god by various methods, rituals, practices and so on. this is what you are experiencing yourself inside you after severe penance. both are same.......ashokha

he is like the sun which is crossing the clear sky. he is the air which is everywhere. he is the fire in the earth. he is the guest in the house. he is inside the humanbeing. he is in the best wisdomed. he is in the truth. he is in the sky. he is coming out from water and from the earth and from all the rituals. he is coming out from mountains like a river. he is everywhere. he is big. ..............5.2

he is raising the upper air in the body and downing the lower air in the body. he is inside the body in a small shape. everybody prays only for him. ...........5.3

when he leaves the body what is remaining. nothing. the life and the body has no energy. that is our researching object.the man is not living by the breath he is doing. the force which is doing the breath is the origin. .......5.4&5

o knowledged! here me carefully. i will repeat the secret and the old now. i will tell you why this life which is suffering after death because of not knowing this secret...5.6

some are getting another body by reaching another reproductive organ and some are reaching the stage of vegetation. it is depending upon their knowledge and wisdom and actions they have done. ........5.7

one who creates desires even when you are sleeping is the truth, is the adma, and is the nector. all worlds are settled only in him. no one can go overthroughing him. that is this ..........5.8

how the fire is taking the shape of the worldly things which it engulfed, similarly the adma is taking the shape of everything it occupies and even beyond them. .....5.9

water is having various names such as jal, aqua, pani, neer etc similarly god is having various names such as eashwar, allah, supersoul, etc .........ramakrishna paramahamsa

how the air is taking the shape of the things it occupies the adma is taking the shape it occupies. ...........5.10

the sun, the eye of the entire world, is not affected by the physical eyes if they are having any fault. similarly the adma which is inside everything is not affected by the pain and sorrows of the world and even beyond that. ......5.11

there is no pain but only happiness to one who find out that the adma is inside him which is the supersoul and the god who can take the shape of everything he occupies. others cannot. .............5.12

the adma is permanent even in perishable things. he is the knowledge of the living beings. he gives all desires to the being he live inside. one who find out that he is inside him will be in bliss and peace. others cannot. .........5.13

one canot point out that (the super bliss) and this is practically here inside. wisdomed one thinks like that. whether it is like a bright light or whether it is like a thing that is having a brightness by reflecting some thing? we canot say that. we cannot know that by our knowledge...5.15

even the sun is not bright there. moon and stars are not bright enough. even the lightning canot have brightness there. then how is the ordinary agni we grow here will be bright. everything is bright only by following the brightness of the adma. they are existing only by the light of the adma itself.. ...............5.16

one brahmin by name abirami pattar is doing his meditation in the temple of abirami in thirukadaiyur in tamilnadu in india. king comes to that temple and see him. he thinks that he is purposefully closing his eyes to ignore him. minister add the fire by saying that he is a psychic. to test the knowledge of that brahmin king asks what is the day today. as pattar is having a full brightness inside he says that is a full moon day. unfortunately that day is zero moon day. king gets angry and put the pattar in a cradle and put fire underneath. pattar comes to his consciousness only after that. pattar sings an anthathi(the lost word of the stanza will be first word of the next stanza). goddess abirami comes down and put the fire out. king sees the brightness of the stud of the goddess and apoliges.

history says so many incidents like this. kings are doing wrong things by their ignorance. our beloved christ has been put in cross. our beloved probhet mohamed has been disturbed by arrogants. they are not ignoring others. as they are identify themselves with god they are in superbliss. we are only doing harm to them due to our ignorance. by their magnanimity they forgive us.

sixth branch:

the brahmam is like a banyan tree which is having the roots in the sky and branches inside the earth. that is the elixir. all worlds are settled only in that. one cannot cross that. that is this. .......6.1

the entire world is coming out from that brahmam which is the basic life force and working along that. afraiding to the vajrayutha (we can say atomic bomb of today) the world obeys and works in a fixed way. .........6.2

afraiding to the brahmam fire is burning, sun is burning, rain comes, air flows, yama (the lord of death) jumps upon living beings. ........6.3

before this body fell in to the earth if one doesnt realises the brahmam he will born as plants and trees and animals. .........6.4

we can see the brahmam easily like mirror in our own mind, like dreams in the heaven, like water in the world of gandharva, like sun light and shadow in the brahma loga. .....6.5

it is easy to know brahmam in this body itself. as there is no sleep in heaven there will be no dreams. gandharva loga is gandhagar of today and there will be no water in deserts. brahma loga is arctic area and the sun will not come daily.

all senses are not inter connected to each other. but brahmam engaged in all these senses and not entangled with them. when the senses are awakened it comes and when sleeps it disappears. knowledged one will analyse this and will be in happy. .......6.7
