நம் முன்னோர்

காக்கை ஒன்று ட்ரான்ஸ்பார்மரில் மாட்டி செத்துப் போச்சு. 40,50 காக்கைகள் சுற்றி சுற்றி வந்து ஒரே சத்தம். ஒரு மணி நேரம் அவ்வாறு கத்திவிட்டு போய்விட்டன. மறு நாள் மூன்றே மூன்று குட்டிக் காக்கைகள் வந்து ஒரு பத்து நிமிஷம் அதன் தலைமாட்டில் நின்று கத்தின. மறு நாளும் அதே மூன்று காக்கைகள் வந்து கத்தின. அப்புறம் ஐந்தாறு நாள் சைலண்ட். பத்தாம் நாள், பதினொன்றாம் நாள்,பன்னிரெண்டாம் நாள் மூன்றும் வந்து அதே போல் கத்திவிட்டு சென்றன. மறுபடி நாலு நாள் சைலண்ட். பதினாறாம் நாள் 40,50 காக்கைகள் சுற்றி சுற்றி வந்து ஒரே சத்தம். ஒரு மணி நேரம் அவ்வாறு கத்தின. ஜூலை 1ஆம் தேதி அந்தக் காக்கை செத்ததால் எனக்கு தேதி (திதி, date) கணக்கு பண்ணுவது ஈசியாக இருந்தது. அப்புறம் சைலண்ட்.இதில் ஆச்சர்யம் என்னவென்றால் 45ஆம் நாள் சென்ற ஆகஸ்ட் 14 அன்று மறுபடியும் 40,50 காக்கைகள் சுற்றி சுற்றி வந்து ஒரே சத்தம். அவைகளுக்கும் பால்,அஸ்தி,பங்காளி தர்ப்பணம்,சாந்தி, ஆனந்த ஹோமம், புண்யாஹம்,ஊன மாஸிகம்,புண்யாஹம்,ஒளபாஸனம்,சோடசம், ஸபிண்டீகரணம்,தானங்கள்,சோதகும்பம்,கருமாதி எல்லாம் உண்டோ என்ற சந்தேகம் வந்துவிட்டது. இன்று அமாவாசை அன்று காலையில் அதே மூன்று குட்டிக்காக்கைகள் வந்து கத்தி விட்டு சென்றன. அவை குழந்தைகளாக இருக்குமோ. ரிஷிகள் காடுகளில் உட்கார்ந்து தவம் செய்த காலத்தில் இது போன்ற காக்கைகளின் நடவடிக்கைகளை கவனித்திருப்பார்களோ. பால்,அஸ்தி முதல் கருமாதி,அமாவாசை வரை எல்லாவற்றையும் உண்டாக்கியிருப்பார்களோ. அதனால்தான் காக்கைகளை நம் முன்னோர் என்று சொன்னார்களோ. நீங்களும் காக்கைகளை கவனியுங்கள். அதே போல் நடந்து கொண்டால் இங்கே எழுதுங்கள்.

Then they come on tenth day,eleventh day, twelth day and cry. Then a silent of four days. On sixteenth day again all the 40 to 50 crows come and make a hue and cry. As the crow has died on July 1 it is easy for me to calculate the dates (thithi in sanscrit)(thethi in Tamil). Then a spell of silent. What is the wonderful thing here is on 45th day on August 14 again all that 40,50 crows come and make a pandemonium. I am doubting whether they are also having the milk function (2nd day) bone ash function (third day) relatives funeral, santhi (making peace), anantha homam (prayer for bliss) punyaham ( purifing ceremony) aupasanam (daily rituals) sodasam ( 16th day) sabindikaranam (12th day function) thanam (service) sothakumbam ( 27th & 41st days) karumathi (16th day). Today is no moon day (amavasai) and that three young crows alone come and cry. They may be her children. During ancient days when Rishis were doing meditations and other rituals in forest they might be following these type of crows activities. For that reason only they may fixed these dates for rituals and they might be saying that crows are our ancestors. You can also follow these activities and write in this column.

kaula upanishad

Kaula Upanishad

May the Kaulika triumph! May Varuni triumph! May Truth triumph! May fire triumph! May all living things triumph!

Hail to the Absolute! Hail to Earth! Hail to Fire! Hail to Air! Hail to Guru! You are like the Cosmos! You are that, self-evidently! I will speak of the Divine Law. I will speak the truth! That must protect me! The source of speech must protect me! Protect me! Protect my speech! Om Shanti Shanti Shanti.

Now the investigation into Dharma. (It is) knowledge and mind. It is the unified cause of both knowledge and liberation. Siddhi emanating from one’s own being arises from liberation.

The five objects of the senses constitute the expanded Cosmos. Of all this Knowledge is the Essence. Yoga is liberation.

The Absolute without parts (Adharma) is the Creator. Ignorance is the same as knowledge. Ishvara, the Lord is the Cosmos. The eternal is the same as the transitory. Knowledge is identical with the absence of knowledge. Adharma is Dharma. This is liberation.

The five bonds constitute the essence of real knowledge. The Pinda is the producer (of all). In that is liberation.

This is real knowledge. Of all the senses the eye is the chief. One should behave in a way opposite to that expected. One should not do this devoid of rightness. All this is the essence of Shambhavi.

The amnaya (practice or direction) is not to be found in knowledge. Guru is oneness. All is oneness within the mind. Siddhi does not exist in uninitiated ones. Abandon pride and so forth.

One should not reveal this. One should not discuss this with pashus. Even weak argument may contain the truth. One should not make distinctions. Do not speak of the secret of self. One may speak of it to a pupil.

Within a Shakta, outwardly a Shaiva, in the world a Vaishnava. This is the rule. Liberation comes from knowledge of self.

Condemn not others such as Adhyatmika. Do not perform vows. Do not establish oneself on restraint. Binding oneself is not liberation. A Kaula should not practice outwardly. One becomes equal to All. One becomes liberated.

One may read these sutras at sunrise. One attains the siddhi of knowledge. This is the knowledge of Self, or Parameshvari.

May the Kaula triumph!
